Candidate privacy notice

This notice covers people who apply to The Augur Room, upload a CV, or hold a recruitment conversation with our voice interviewer. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to reach us.

Who is responsible

The Augur Room, operated by IV Talent, is the controller of the personal data you send through the careers page. Recruitment enquiries and data requests go to support@iv-talent.com.

What we collect

Your CV and anything inside it: name, contact details, work history, education, qualifications and any other information you chose to include. From the conversation: an audio-derived transcript, a written summary, the capabilities and interests you describe, and basic technical metadata such as timestamps and the browser used.

Please leave out information we do not need: national identifiers, financial details, health information, photographs, date of birth, marital status, and anything covered by an obligation of confidentiality to a current or former employer.

Why we use it and on what basis

We use it to assess your suitability for current or future roles, to contact you about your application, to keep a record of hiring decisions, and to meet legal obligations such as right-to-work and equal-opportunity record keeping. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in recruiting for our own business, steps taken at your request before entering a contract, your consent for keeping your details on file, and compliance with law.

The conversation is recorded and machine-assisted

The careers conversation is conducted by an AI voice interviewer and is transcribed and summarised automatically. If you upload a CV before the call, its text is provided to the interviewer so it can ask about your actual experience. No hiring decision is made solely by automated means: a person reviews every application and decides. You can ask for a human conversation instead by emailing us.

Who sees it

Access is limited to the people at The Augur Room and IV Talent involved in hiring. We use service providers to host and process the data — cloud hosting, storage, voice and language model providers, email delivery — under contract and only on our instructions. Providers are listed in the subprocessors notice. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with other employers without asking you first.

How long we keep it

If you are not offered a role, we keep your CV and application for 10 months from the date you upload it so we can consider you for something more suitable, then delete it. If you are hired, relevant records move into your employment file. You can ask us to delete your application at any point before then.

Where it is processed

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on approved mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable form, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent for us to keep your details on file. Write to support@iv-talent.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EU you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Equal opportunity and accuracy

We assess candidates on merit and do not discriminate on any protected characteristic. We may verify the information you give us, including references and right to work, before making an offer. Applications found to contain deliberately false information may be declined.

Security

CVs are stored in private, encrypted storage that is not publicly reachable, and are readable only by authorised hiring staff. Our wider handling and incident practices are in the security notice.
